A blast from the past via phone art

I installed a new app to my phone last evening..It is called Diana..For I-phones and smart phones. Yesterday when I was online, I had stumbled upon the intriguing and pretty work of another blogger..So I decided to try this app
out..This is what I came up with in my session of phone art :-)))
Whether one creates an instant photo composition via phoneography  or takes years painting a watercolor,  or composing music, it doesn't matter..All of these forms of art are unique..A creative thought process is there for all..I think the beauty of art is in how it makes one feel ..For the artist the pleasure is in the journey from creating to sharing his or her work..For those who get to enjoy each other's art, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder..Art is meant to be shared :-)

This U-tube video speaks to what I am saying, lol :-)

Randomness

This weekend was another stormy one..But there were breaks between the clouds..
I had the house to myself which is always a Godsend...By night I would watch my favorite old movies or series on Netflix..By day, I stayed entertained by shooting roses and other random things..Making old into new :-)

"Blackbirds" I shot this pic of the birds on a wire in Downtown Houston..Yesterday I added several layers to it..One of the layers is a pic I captured of a spider web..My background pic of the blackbirds is a fun and easy one to experiment with.

Spider and her web found in my backyard...A different pic of this web is seen as one of the layers in the above image of the black birds

Sunshine

“ At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us”
~ Albert Sweitzer ~

Friends make life more worthwhile for me..

And I also love sunrises on the beach and long walks in the woods...Especially on a day that is breezy with plenty of sunshine :-)

Liberate your Art Postcard swap 2015

Post cards are slowly making their way to me via snail mail..I live on the upper Texas coast, near Galveston..
Snail mail addressed to me personally is the kind of mail I love, but rarely get..
I usually receive bills and advertisements, lol..
These post cards are so lovely! All are as unique as their senders...
A huge hug and Thank you goes to Kat Sloma ( and her assistants ) for creating and making the Liberate your Art Postcard swap possible and fun..

Pictured are the post cards I have received..The backgrounds in each snapshot are bits and pieces of my life, home / patio..Weather permitting, my doggies ( Simon and Oscar ) and I love to do daily patio time :-))

Several of the backyard / doggie pics in this post ( you will be able to tell the difference ), were edited with Artista Impresso..A cell phone or I-pad editing app for photos..This was one of the apps recommended by Kat in one of her recent blog posts  :-))

Smelly Landing

This weekend I didn't get out of the house..At all..
I did do things around the house and enjoyed some patio time with my doggies..
I also spent afternoons doing texture art..These are what I came up with.
The pig is cast iron..I shot a pic of him during morning patio time..
I bought this cute pig last summer at an antique store in the Houston Heights... For $ 16.00..I smile every time I look at him :-) I also worked with an old flower pic..Shot at Maa's Nursery in Seabrook Texas..The black bird image is another layered composite of photos I shot at different times..

Getting fresh air clears my head and lifts my mood..I find that these nature walks are a balm for my soul :-)
