Spring Wildflower Season

Since the late Fall I have taken to long walks at local parks, usually within 5 miles of my home..Because of the plentiful rain, this wildflower season has produced a riot of beautiful intriguing blossoms..Identifying these wildflowers during my walks has become a new addiction for me :-) I will be continually making new additions to this fun project (not this post, lol)..I may turn this project into a photo book one day :-)

Found at Armand Bayou Hike and Bike Trail, my new favorite place to walk..

I have already met a few regulars who like to walk these trails the same time of the morning that I do.. Taking a morning walk at one of my favorite places is relaxing and invigorating, adds a bit of magic to my day :-) When I walk these trails, I often detect a faint honeysuckle fragrance in the air..

  1. Lisa, I love all of your beautiful photos of the flowers! The desert chickory and catclaw briar really caught my eye. This time of year is always so magical with the earth beginning to bloom.

  2. I love all the flower photographs. I would not be able to name many of them at all. Honeysuckle I know. There is some just outside the door. I think of it as a weed because it is entwining with a bush I really like. And Happy Mother's Day, both days.

  3. I was just looking at photographs of Flowers by Jean-Marc Barmasse on Facebook. I think you used to be friends. Consider friending him again. He does wonderful photographs of all subjects. He works in Paris, France, and lives in Meaux. I have met him face to face.
